After chrissy in Sydney it was time to join the hoards and hit the road north. I had booked campsites at Sandbar, a great little spot just south of Forster on the NSW mid north coast.
I somehow convinced Holly to leave early, around 6am I think. We had a good run out of Sydney and grabbed Maccas on the highway. The going was good until we hit Bulahdelah where we were stuck in traffic for over an hour. It sucked even more as our turn off was only 5km away. We eventually got through and made it to the camp ground. The rest of the gang filtered in throughout the day.
Ill let the photos do the talking for this post. Suffice to say we had an awesome time. Highlights included; massive group surfs at Seal Rocks, hanging out on Wallace Lake in Forster, good waves at Celitos, sunsets on Smiths Lake, Burgers at Bongos, Hawaiian themed New Years Eve at Pacific Palms, sunset dinner and getting attacked by march flies at Sugarloaf Point and the good times drinking beers and playing tunes by the fire. Holly caught a tick which although not cool, was quite an event.

On the way home we dropped in too see my parents who were on holidays in Gerroa on the NSW south coast. There were some nice waves around and Dad and I had a rare surf together. I used dads beautiful old McCoy.
Dads still got it, off the bottom.
It was great to catch up with my parents. After Gerroa it was home to the mountains :).
